About Me

Mabel Martinez was born in Buenos Aires on December 13, 1954, and has been living in Haedo, Buenos Aires Province, for many years. It is here that she established her studio, where she also teaches regular painting classes and seminars.

From a young age, she developed a passion for drawing and painting, making it inevitable for her to take private lessons, and in 1970, she earned her degree as a drawing and painting teacher.

After a hiatus, she resumed her artistic activities in 1997 by attending various workshops, courses, and seminars in Spain and Argentina, including those with Rodolfo Insaurralde, Marcos Borio, Jorge Argento, Gabriel Sainz, and Irene Cuadrado. These professionals, with their different perspectives and techniques, helped shape Martinez's artistic development, allowing her to develop a style that is uniquely her own.

It is worth noting that the artist has participated in numerous national and international fairs and collective exhibitions, including Arte Clásica (Buenos Aires), Art Ireland (Dublin), Art Road (Sofitel, Buenos Aires Province), Galeria Solange Guez (Buenos Aires), Expo Arte (Buenos Aires), Ardi (Buenos Aires), the Annual Painting Salon at MAMM (Mercedes, Buenos Aires Province), and the Calíope Salon (Haedo, Buenos Aires Province), among others.

Her artworks has always been inspired by nature. In fact, her current work mainly focuses on beach scenes, emphasizing the everyday moments and the joy of summer that might otherwise go unnoticed, but which Martinez evokes through her landscapes, textures, and colors.
